With the conclusion of the arc of the Forgotten in Disney Dreamlight Valley, many players may feel that there's nothing left to be done. However, just because story quests have come to a close does not mean that nothing is left to be done in the Valley.
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, there are always tasks to be done, and the lack of story quests should be seen as an opportunity rather than a loss as it provides a chance for undivided focus on all the other things going on in the Valley, including things like Friendships, filling out collectibles inventories, making money, and taking care of the Valley.
Max Out All Friendships
One of the first things to do when falling short on story quests is work on maxing out Friendships. This is the best option to take advantage of first because it opens a few side quest opportunities. With so many characters in the Valley, building up Friendships to level 10 probably stopped being a major priority while focusing on the main story plot, so now is a great chance to get back to that and finish the ones that still require some work. There are many ways to raise Friendship levels in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but the easiest includes gift giving.
Gifts are given by interacting with a character in the Valley, at which point players can give them something. Anything in inventory can be gifted, but the ideal gift is one of the three preferred ones that will appear under them. These reset daily; players should gift all three for maximum friendship points. If these have already been given, flowers are also a good gift. In addition to gifts, be sure to engage in the daily conversation and check to see who's dining at Remy's in Disney Dreamlight Valley, as serving them their order also significantly increases friendship.
Fill Out The Collectibles
Another thing that is quite time-consuming in Disney Dreamlight Valley is unlocking every collectible. There are many categories, including fish, gems, recipes (crafting and cooking), and several others. Gathering all of these items can take a lot of time, and even though playing the game is normal up to this point, there are likely still things yet to be unlocked.
With nothing but time available, this is an excellent opportunity to grind a little bit and gather the last few missing, which are likely more challenging to acquire in general if they are not already unlocked.
One of the more tedious ones to complete are doing all recipes in Disney Dreamlight Valley, including both meal recipes and crafting recipes. There are over a hundred meals and crafts to make in the Valley, and since each requires that other ingredients be compiled first, they can take time to complete. While crafting provides players with the required materials, recipes often don't. Therefore, players are forced to guess and deduce the ingredients themselves or gain the help of Remy, whose cues can help signify if a player is on the right track.
Build Up Savings
One item players never want to fall short on is Star Coins in Disney Dreamlight Valley. These are the only currency in the game aside from Dreamlight and the most widely used. It is necessary to shop at Goofy's Stall, but more important, Scrooge's Store.
With some free time, players can make sure they build up some savings by taking time to make money through either gardening or cooking. Both include building up a stock of a specific meal or produce and then selling the supply to Goofy at one of his stalls in exchange for Star Coins.
One of the most popular gardening methods for making money is to sell Pumpkins in Disney Dreamlight Valley. These specific items sell for the most money compared to other items that can be gardened. Unfortunately, they take a while to grow, around four hours, so the best method is to plant many of them and then harvest them with a companion that has maxed out their gardening assistance, so players can maximize profits.
The pumpkin seeds can be purchased in the Forgotten Lands region, and though pricey, they are worth the outcome.

The popular cooking option for making money is Souffles in Disney Dreamlight Valley. While these are not the highest-selling recipe in the game, they have another benefit that makes them desirable. All the ingredients can be purchased directly from Remy.
Therefore, this is an easy option because players are not required to hunt for, grow, or catch any other ingredient; they can restock immediately and return to cooking. However, if players are looking for another good-selling dish, try following the pumpkin gardening method and then using them to make Pumpkin Puffs.
Clean Up The Valley
For those who want to dive into something, cleaning up and revamping the Valley is always possible. While playing, players noticed that certain things were inconveniently located, messy, or just not right, but there was no time to worry about it then. Now, players can take some time to reevaluate the functionality of their Valley and move some things around and redecorate.
This is an excellent opportunity to set up designated places for foraging and gardening/farming certain items by creating areas for them nearby so that all of it can be done at once rather than across the whole Valley.
In addition to simple redecorating, players should also work on cleaning up the Valley, providing them with materials and Star Coins. One thing that should be routine at this point is going around the Valley to do the usual tasks such as gathering random herbs, digging sparkling spots, collecting thorns, mining the stones on the beach, and more.
All of these are daily tasks that should be completed regularly, and just because story quests are done doesn't mean players should stop doing them, as this is a great way to build up a stock of some of the things these different obstructions provide in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
