How to file arbitration against Airbnb? ›

*Visit www.adr.org and obtain the written Demand for Arbitration form. Fill it out and file it with the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Ensure you provide a copy to Airbnb, following AAA Rules available on their website.

Please note: These Host Guarantee Terms contain an arbitration clause and class action waiver that applies to all Airbnb Members. If you reside in the United States, this provision applies to all disputes with Airbnb.

I'd like to remind you all that if you have been financially wronged by Airbnb, it's possible to file for arbitration with them according to their Terms of Service to seek relief. You as a consumer will pay $200 and Airbnb will pay $3200 in arbitration fees.

It's important to ask for help within 72 hours of noticing the issue in order to be eligible for a refund. Wait for their response: If they decline or don't respond, you can ask Airbnb to step in to help. Airbnb will refer to the Rebooking and Refund Policy to help you resolve the issue.

Class Action Lawsuits Are Difficult But Not Impossible

One recent example is the class action lawsuit that was filed against Airbnb after the company allowed customers to cancel reservations for one month at the outset of COVID-19, in violation of the agreement between the company and its hosts.
