A limit price (or limit pricing) is a price, or pricing strategy, where products are sold by a supplier at a price low enough to make it unprofitable for other players to enter the market. It is used by monopolists to discourage entry into a market, and is illegal in many countries.
Your order won't be filled if there aren't enough shares available at the specified price or number. This occurs most frequently with large orders placed on low-volume securities.
Why Might a Limit Order Not Get Filled? A buy limit order won't get filled if the price of the underlying asset jumps above the order's stated price. This is because the limit price is the maximum amount the investor is willing to pay. In the case of a gap, that price would now be below the market price.
The order will be filled if the last price reaches the limit price or is better. A Limit order may be filled with different prices to fulfill the order amount. Sell Limit orders will fill when the last price is equal to or greater than the limit price.

A partial fill happens when only a portion of a limit order is executed, the share price surpasses the specified limit order target during the trade. In this instance shares will only be exchanged up to the price on the limit order, and the rest remain unfilled.
A limit order guarantees that an order is filled at or better than a specific price level. A limit order is not guaranteed to be filled, however. Limit orders control execution price but can result in missed opportunities in fast-moving market conditions.
How Long Does It Take to Send Bitcoin? The total time it takes for BTC to be sent and received varies from transaction to transaction. The order will not get executed until you see the matching bid/ask within your defined limit price. The orders are executed on a 'first come, first serve' basis, i.e. queue system on the exchange.
If there aren't enough shares in the market at your limit price, it may take multiple trades to fill the entire order, or the order may not be filled at all. Depending on the final price your order is filled at, the final dollar amount of your order may change from what is estimated in the app.
After-hours trading allows for stocks to be traded after the stock market's regular hours. However, investors should be prepared for their orders to not be filled as quickly (or even at all) due to the lower trading volume during these extended market hours.
