In blockchain and crypto, Validator nodes are what most people think of as a node. These are nodes that are part of that blockchain's validator set and are responsible for validating transactions in consensus with the other validator nodes in the validator set. Full nodes do not conduct consensus.

Validator Nodes validate transactions based on the blockchain's rules and protocols. And Full Nodes validate transactions through synchronization with the rest of the network, ensuring blockchain-wide consensus.

A validator node is a special type of full node that participates in “consensus.” By participating in consensus, validator nodes become responsible for verifying, voting on, and maintaining a record of transactions.

A light node is much smaller than a full node and does not participate in block validation in the same way. The node can query the Ethereum network but does not store the state of the chain. Because of this limitation, it relies on peering with full nodes to get accurate chain data.

A partial node is also connected to the network in a peer-to-peer fashion, but doesn't contain a full copy of the Blockchain. It needs the services of a full-function node to execute transactions, and it doesn't extend the chain.

Validators make money in various ways: Verifying Blocks: Validators earn rewards for verifying blocks proposed by others, checking their legitimacy, and voting on whether to add them to the blockchain.

A full node stores the record of all transactions that have ever been validated on a blockchain. Different blockchains have different data requirements, depending on their size.
