July 14, 2024 USPS RATE CHANGE OVERVIEW
The United States Postal Service announced a postage rate change that took effect on July 14, 2024.

As part of "Delivering for America", its 10-year plan, through 2030, to achieve financial sustainability and service excellence, the United States Postal Service filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) for price changes that took effect July 14, 2024 that were in accordance with the rules recently established by PRC. Started July 2022, the USPS will continue increasing First Class Mail letter prices TWOtimes a year.
• Forever Stamps are $0.73and you will automatically save $.04on every letter with the Metered Mail rate which increased to $0.69 for the first ounce. Each additional ounce is $0.28for letters.
• First-Class Mail Flats/Large Envelopes are now $1.50 for 1 oz. The additional ounce cost for First-Class Mail Flats is between $0.27 - $0.30 depending on weight.
• First Class Postcard rates increased to $0.56 ea.
• Customers who print postage online or metered mail, the rate has a $.04 discount compared to the Post Office price for a Forever stamp.
- Parcel Select Ground and First Class Package Retail have combined into a new mail class Ground Advantage Retail
- The Certified Mail rate increased to $4.85. The Return Receipt hard copy by mail also raised to $4.10while the electronic return receipt increased to $2.62. All Domestic Extra Services and Domestic Special Services have rate increases.
