What is the Emergency Cash service? The Emergency Cash service is available when reporting your debit card lost or stolen. The service allows you to withdraw money from your account using a security code instead of your card.

First, check to make sure the ATM has the contactless payment symbol that indicates it accepts mobile wallet transactions. Once you've confirmed the ATM allows for cardless ATM access, you can follow the prompts to withdraw cash.

While the size of your emergency fund will vary depending on your lifestyle, monthly costs, income, and dependents, the rule of thumb is to put away at least three to six months' worth of expenses.

A cash advance is when you withdraw money against your credit card limit. Essentially, it allows you to withdraw cash like a debit card but with some key differences. You should only use a cash advance for emergencies.

A temporary debit card is a digital card that can be used while waiting for a physical debit card to arrive (which may take up to two weeks in some cases). The temporary card has a card number, expiration date, security code, and sometimes a PIN. While some banks offer it in physical form, it's usually digital.
