You must sign up before traveling

You need to apply for your travel insurance policy 4 or more days before you travel. You cannot sign up after you have left the country or once you have determined that you need medical treatment abroad. If you need travel insurance for a visa abroad, you should also apply at least 4 working days prior to your visa appointment.

Frequently asked questions

Feather’s travel health insurance policy always has a €0 deductible. This includes both the yearly plan, the yearly family plan, and the travel cancellation add-on.

In the event of an accident or illness you are fully covered to visit any doctor you choose. Just make sure to keep all the documents that you are given including invoices (correctly named and addressed), referrals, prescriptions and anything else!

Our insurance covers travel health and travel cancellation (as an add-on) exclusively, so lost luggage is not covered.

In an emergency, please go immediately to the nearest doctor or hospital to seek treatment.
You must also immediately contact the emergency hotline at +49 40 55557877 if:
• you need urgent treatment in a hospital (in-patient treatment); or
• before extensive diagnostic or therapeutic (e.g, massage or physiotherapy) treatments begin.

In all other cases, like treatment at a doctor’s office, you can simply claim after the incident or when you are back in Germany!

Cancellations or costs caused by delays are only covered with the travel cancellation add-on in case of an insured event.

Feather’s travel health insurance policy covers every trip that starts after the beginning of the policy.

The travel cancellation add-on is valid for every trip with a departure date more than 30 days after the policy starts or booked less than 3 days before the policy starts.
