Is Tiki armor better than spooky? ›

On Spooky armor's +28% minion damage and +11% movement speed is generally considered superior to Tiki armor's +20% whip range and +5 defense. Summoners who play an active role with a whip and will prefer Spooky over Tiki (such summoners would also chose Obsidian armor over Bee armor pre-hardmode).

Tiki armor is a Hardmode post-Plantera armor set purchased from the Witch Doctor for 150 in total. A full set of Tiki armor provides the following benefits: +35 Defense.

The Tiki Armor is purchased from the Witch Doctor once Plantera has been defeated and the Pygmy Staff is obtained.

The Pygmy Staff is dropped by Plantera with a 1/4 (25%) / 1/2 (50%) chance. Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stat bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits.

It is possible to dodge lava with Hallowed Armor, Master Ninja Gear, or by other means. The lava will not hurt you until the invincibility frames end, though it will still inflict the On Fire! Debuff. Under effect of Obsidian Skin Potion you can stay in Lava as long as you have the buff.

The Monk armor and Squire armor both provide melee benefits. While the Squire armor has a higher melee crit increase, the Monk armor's increased melee speed means that (especially against enemies with low defense) it does more damage overall.

You may think the Ghost Armor is the optimal choice for stealth players and while it does offer slower enemy detection speed, it's much more of an all-round armor set. The Ronin Attire offers 30% increase to melee damage which means that even if you do get spotted, you can dispose of your enemies more effectively.

The Solar Flare Armor is arguably the best armor set in the game for the Melee class. It's a high-defense armor set with bonuses focusing on attack and protection for optimal flexibility. Players must craft the Solar Flare Helmet, Solar Flare Breastplate, and Solar Flare Leggings to complete the armor set.

In terms of defense, Solar Flare armor provides slightly more defense than Beetle armor with the Beetle Shell, but provides 15% less damage reduction and has an activation cooldown of 5 seconds rather than 3.

It requires a total of 750 Spooky Wood to create the full set. Stat-wise, Spooky armor is roughly tied with Tiki armor, and beaten by Stardust armor(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions).
