Biblical teachings on money emphasize our need to steward it wisely and never let it become more important than it is. We are encouraged to love God and people, never money. Money should be used as a tool to help the less fortunate and to spread the message of Jesus to people who haven't heard.

In Ecclesiastes 5:10, Solomon says, “Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless.” Here's the danger with money: There is NEVER a point when we will say, “I have enough.” You can be the richest person in the world, and still not have enough.

On one hand, King Solomon tells us that wise men have expensive items and luxuries in their homes. On the other, he notes that only foolish men consume them. King Solomon is essentially saying that building wealth and saving is wise, spending is foolish.

Paul declares that he and his co-workers are not this, not peddlers of God's Word. Instead, they are honest men, sent out by God. They speak in Christ, and they speak in the sight of God. Their message is trustworthy, because it comes from God, who sent them.

Turning to Bible verses for financial struggles can be incredibly helpful. Verses such as Philippians 4:19, which states, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus,” are a reminder that God is a faithful provider.

Although there are some who experience gambling as something rewarding and fun, it tends toward being highly addictive and potentially ruinous. The Bible doesn't call gambling a sin as such, although the Bible warns against the love of money and get-rich-quick schemes.
