How do I avoid relisting fees on eBay? ›

You can avoid paying a second insertion fee to relist the item as long as you relist it within 90 days of the original listing ending. It's essential you don't change any details and keep the starting price the same or lower than your original listing to qualify.

When you refund a buyer for a return or a canceled order, we'll automatically relist your item for you. If you don't want your item to be relisted, simply uncheck the Relist item or Relist item after cancellation box when issuing the refund.

Automatic relisting is available for most categories, but there are some exclusions (see below). If your item doesn't sell after 8 relists, it will appear in your unsold items - opens in new window or tab. Keep in mind that the automatic relist option is only available on listings created by new and occasional sellers.

Auctions with a duration of 1 or 3 days will be automatically relisted up to 8 times as a 7-day listing. Auto-relists are free, except for listings in vehicles categories.

Alternatively, you can force eBay to search for your literal keywords with no substitutions or category changes by putting any one of your search keywords in quotes.

Find it under active listings, select it and at the top there is a drop-down 'actions' menu with end listing as an option. It can then be found in the ended listings and you can elect to relist or sell similar and save it for later.

If you create a listing, relist an item, or if an item listing automatically renews, it counts as a new listing.

We charge an insertion fee and applicable optional listing upgrade fees when you list your item for the first time, and each time it renews. These listings count towards your monthly zero insertion fee listings. Fee amounts are based on the terms in effect when the listing goes live and when it renews.

If you have watchers, might suggest relisting, but INCREASE the price a bit to lure out "watchers", and convert them to buyers. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it leads to interesting emails.

How do I disable auto relist on eBay? ›

Go to the part of the listing that says "pricing". To the far right you will see "pricing options" in small print. Click on that and scroll down near the bottom and you will see an auto relist function to turn off.

If a buyer hasn't paid after 5 calendar days, you can cancel the transaction. You can choose to have eBay automatically relist the item when you cancel the transaction. You'll be able to set up automatic cancellations for non-payment in your “Preferences for items awaiting payment.”

Once the buyer has been refunded, you may be eligible for a fee credit as per our fee credits policy. If the listing was a single quantity, Buy It Now item, we'll automatically relist the item for you unless you select "No" next to "Relist item?" when you're cancelling the order.

Delete and relist is only available after you can no longer renew your listing. Deleting and relisting your item creates a brand new listing, meaning that you may lose any listing saves or messages related to that listing. If you posted your item in a Buy/Sell Group, you may have to repost your item again.

Renewing may increase the visibility of your listing. If you still want to sell your listing after you can no longer renew, you can delete and relist your item.

You are charged a new listing fee. If you have moved some of your listing to your Unsold Items list, they will stay there for 90 days then they will be deleted.

I googled it and got the official answer from Ebay, which is to unlist each item individually, and the only other attempts at an answer were from this sub.
