How to download your Google Location History

Step 1

Sign into the Google account linked to your Android device. Go to takeout.google.com/settings/takeout.

Step 2

Click "Select none."

Step 3

Select Location History. Make sure it is set to JSON format.

Click next.

Step 4

Choose the format as follows.
Location History Parser (3) Create archive.

Step 5

Unzip/Unarchive and extract the resulting downloaded .zip file. Open the "Location History" folder and move the "LocationHistory.json" file to a known place. You'll be using this file for the upload process
