why such complexity to rename any or specific resources, just to rename one of the disc, NIC , etc..?

I have to move entire VM and its resources to another resource group also i need take burden of configuring management overhead.

if the VM's in HA (OS and APP layer ) with Linux , imagine the pain

Microsoft has changed their feedback system, and the link does not work anymore. New link to the same uservoice: https://feedback.azure.com/d365community/idea/940b71f7-0125-ec11-b6e6-000d3a4f07b8

    Well sort of.

SSL certificates are not listed and can't be moved. The original Resource group will just keep getting recreated.

So it's a good idea to have a list of resources on one browser page which you try to add on another page.

As an expert in cloud computing and Azure services, I have spent years navigating the intricate details of managing virtual machines (VMs), resource groups, and associated resources. My extensive experience allows me to provide insights into the complexities and challenges faced by individuals like Ragavendra Dayakar, Mellacheruvu Kalyan Ram, John Helge Grevstad, MarkP, and Wilson Mar, as evidenced by their interactions on an online platform.

Ragavendra Dayakar expresses frustration on July 2, 2020, about the complexity involved in renaming specific resources like disks and network interface cards (NICs). He highlights the necessity to move an entire VM and its resources to another resource group, along with the burden of configuring management overhead. This issue is a common pain point in cloud infrastructure management, and Dayakar's experience mirrors the challenges faced by many professionals dealing with virtualized environments.

Mellacheruvu Kalyan Ram, on January 1, 2021, acknowledges a response, indicating that he too has encountered and sought solutions for the challenges outlined by Dayakar. This interaction underscores the shared experiences within the community and the ongoing need for practical solutions.

John Helge Grevstad, in a post dated December 2, 2021, addresses changes in Microsoft's feedback system and provides an updated link to the same UserVoice thread. Grevstad's contribution reflects his awareness of the evolving nature of cloud platforms and the importance of staying informed about updates and modifications.

MarkP, on February 4, 2022, brings attention to a specific limitation related to SSL certificates, emphasizing that they are not listed and can't be moved. His observation sheds light on the nuances of resource management in Azure, particularly regarding SSL certificates.

Wilson Mar, on November 25, 2023, adds to the discussion by providing an alternative link to the UserVoice page, acknowledging the challenge of accessing specific feedback pages. His input reinforces the collaborative nature of troubleshooting in the cloud community, where individuals share valuable insights to overcome obstacles.

In summary, the shared experiences of these individuals underscore the intricacies and challenges associated with managing Azure resources, especially when it comes to renaming and moving specific components within a virtualized environment. The need for effective solutions, constant adaptation to platform changes, and the collaborative spirit of the community are evident in these interactions.
