What is the meaning of IMT in banking? ›

Instant Money Transfer (IMT) is an innovative domestic service that allows you to send cash to a receiver. All you need to do is mention receiver's mobile number, amount to be sent and set Sender's code. Beneficiary can withdraw cash using a debit card, from any ATM of the banks empanelled.

IMT is an innovative, safe and simple domestic money transfer with cash out facility. It allows Banks customer to send money to a beneficiary/ receiver only by using the beneficiary / receiver's mobile number and secret code; from either our IMT enabled ATMs or our Retail Internet Banking facility.

Expiry: IMT transaction gets expired if is not withdrawn by the Beneficiary customer, within 10 working days from transaction initiation. Transaction amount (excluding service charges) would be refunded to you within 10 working days.

This IMT ID is given to the sender during the initiation of the IMT transaction (IMT ID is printed on the ATM receipt and is also sent as an SMS to the sender's mobile number, if provided).

Initiating an IMT
