How to mine Ravencoin (2024)

Ravencoin (RVN) is a Bitcoin fork that enables the issuance of tokens.

1. Obtain suitable hardware

✅ Ravencoin can be efficiently mined with GPU mining machines.

❌ Ravencoin cannot be efficiently mined with ASICs or CPU cards.

2. Obtain a wallet address

You’ll need to get a wallet address if you don’t have one already. You’ll need a wallet address to receive payouts to mine Ravencoin with f2pool.

We recommend the official wallet. After installing it, click Receive to get your new wallet address.

You can also choose an exchange, such as Binance or OKX. Note: You should always do your own due diligence when choosing a wallet provider or exchange.

3. Sign up for an f2pool account

You’ll need to create an f2pool account before mining Ravencoin. If you don’t have one yet, please click here to register.

Set a username. This will be required for configuration. You are free to create multiple subaccounts to monitor your workers/miners.

4. Obtain mining software

BMiner, NBMiner, and DamoMiner are popular options for mining Ravencoin.

5. Configure mining software

After you have downloaded your chosen mining software, uncompress it, find the start.bat or start.cmd file, right click on it, and click Edit.

Replace the file’s existing commands with the commands from the chart below that correspond to your chosen mining software.

Replace user_name with your f2pool username.

Finally, save the start file and exit. Double-click the start file when you’re ready to start mining.

6. Add payout address

You can add or change your payout address in your Payout Settings. f2pool distributes mining revenues on a daily basis to every user who reaches the payout threshold.

Users can change their RVN payout threshold and select from 5 different preset amounts, 10 / 50 / 100 / 500 / 2000 RVN. The default threshold is 100 RVN.

7. Start mining today!

Your machines are now ready to mine! You can manage your account settings and monitor your hashrate, revenue, and payouts in your dashboard or in our f2pool app.
