How To Improve the eCPM rate for your AdMob? (2024)

You’ve started your new website or app development. The next problem is low eCPM. I know you. That’s why you’ve searched on the internet and landed here. Don’t worry. I’ve faced the same problem afewweeksago.

Then, I followed some techniques over the past few weeks, and to my surprise I’ve raised my eCPM to 12.77USD. Yes, you’ve read that right. In just a few weeks.

The same thing, I would like to share with you in this article. I want to help you break the problem and direct you to the right path. Using this technique, you can get a kickstart.

Do you know what eCPM is? eCPM stands for effective cost per mille. Mille is a Latin term for thousand.

So in general, eCPM is a measure of how much you are likely to earn from 1k ad impressions.

When it comes to AdMob, everyone is crazy about the eCPM rate — that is how advertisers will pay.As I’ve already mentioned I have a very high eCPM — 12.77 USD. This is more than 20 times the normal eCPM rate in my country, India. Generally, in India eCPM rate is somewhere between 0.20 USD to 0.50 USD.

Right now, I have a very high eCPM rate of 12.77. That’s very high. At this rate, I’ll earn 12.77 USD per 1k ad impression on my Android app.

I’ve just used some simple strategies to raise my eCPM. I didn’t send any money on this nor have I hired an expert on the field or courses. I’ve gained extensive ideas in this field along with experience.

1. Focus on the region: There is no such mystery hidden in improving your eCPM rate. The main thing is you should concentrate on territories. The highest-paying regions are Norway, Canada, Moldova, the US, Germany, and the UK. You should make it possible to show your ad among those regions. How Likely…..? It depends on your content. Create content that might be helpfultopeople ofthose regions. Target users from those regions. You can promote your products through advertising on social media or through Google ads.
2. Use higher paying AdMob type: There are generally three types of ads. Banner, Interstitial, and Rewarded. Order in increasing eCPM — Rewarded > Interstitial > Banner. The rewarded ad has the highest eCPM. The above stats that I’ve put above is for Interstitial ad. If it were for Rewarded ad eCPM could be as high as 20USD. So, to improve your eCPM in general ad type like Interstitial or Rewarded are recommended.
3. Choose the highest-paying ads in AdMob: In AdMob, you can choose what type of ads you want to run on your app. Like three types based on the pay rate, the highest paying, the medium, and the lowest. If you want your eCPM rate to improve you can run the first type.

These are the simplest strategies you can start with to improve your eCPM. I’ve used different mediums to promote my app. I’ve started with Medium, as it has a lot of audience from higher eCPM territories. I’ve gained around 300 online users from Medium which helped me gain high eCPM.
