Homes that meet the criteria may show a Guest favorite badge. Guest Favorites are identified based on a mix of factors related to the overall stay, quality of the place, and reliability, including: Overall star ratings and feedback in guest reviews.

If your place is one of the 2 million Guest favourites, your listing will feature a badge in search results and on your Listings page.

Guest favorites and highlights

Listings need 5 or more recent reviews to be eligible for a Guest favorite label, a top homes highlight, or a percentile ranking label.

Criteria for the Guest Favorite Badge

Number of Reviews: Your listing needs at least five guest reviews. Subcategory Ratings: Airbnb expects high marks in subcategories like cleanliness, accuracy, communication, location, check-in, and value.

How strict are Airbnb guest limits? As a general guideline, Airbnb allows hosts to set the maximum number of guests permitted. Property managers can specify this limit in their property's listing details, and guests are expected to adhere to these guidelines.

Your detailed ratings for past stays, as well as your overall category and averaged ratings across stays, can only be read by Hosts when you request or book a stay with them in the future. Categories with positive ratings (4–5) will be displayed with a tick and negative ratings (1–3) with a warning icon.

Some Hosts may have an extra guest fee and require that you submit a trip change request to add any additional guests to your reservation. Other Hosts might have a strict limit on the capacity for their home and can't accommodate any more people.
