Who is Travelex insurance owned by? ›

In 2016, Travelex Insurance Services grew its global footprint by becoming a part of the Cover-More Group, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zurich Insurance Group.

Travelex and Allianz provide the same trip cancellation and interruption benefits and similar medical expense limits through comparable plans — Allianz offers only $25,000 more in medical expense coverage than Travelex. However, Allianz provides double the amount of lost baggage and emergency evacuation coverage.

This means that if within 15 days of purchase you are not satisfied with your plan, and have not yet departed or filed a claim, Travelex will refund your plan cost.

The cancel for any reason upgrade is only available on Travelex's Travel Select plan. It lets you cancel for any reason – whatever it may be – up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled departure date.
